Transition

Elementary to Middle School

6th Grade Orientation:

In an effort to prepare current 5th grade students for the transition to middle school, elementary students visit the middle school to discuss what it’s like to be a middle school student and tour the facilities in the Spring. The program reviews school rules, the schedule, school responsibilities (homework, tests, teacher expectations, etc.), staff members with whom they will interact, and extra activities that they may participate in as middle school students. The goals of the orientation are to address any concerns about going to a new school, introduce them to students who can help them, and provide an opportunity to ask questions or clarify misconceptions about middle school.

5th Grade Jackson Elementary School students will be visiting in May 7, 2019.

5th Grade Cambria Elementary School students will be visiting in May 22, 2019.
